For data owners
How selling your company's data works
Five steps from your website to a signed license. You can stop at any point, and nothing leaves your systems until you sign.
FileFunding gives you a free indicative estimate from public information, confirms what records you have on a short call, scopes what's included, then takes an anonymized profile to the AI labs and data programs we work with and gives you a side-by-side comparison of offers. You choose the offer and sign directly with the lab. It's free for you: we're paid by the AI labs and data companies we work with.
How it works

The five steps
Get your estimate 10 seconds
Enter your work email. We take your company's domain from it, read public info only and show an indicative range right away. You confirm a few answers.
A short call reply in 1–2 business days
We confirm what you have and whether it fits. If you like, read-only stats (message counts, repo sizes) firm up the number. No data is copied.
Scope and vetting
Together we decide what's in and what's out, check who can sign, and flag anything with privacy or contract strings attached.
We compare offers aim: first offers in ~2 weeks
We price and configure your data, then take an anonymized profile to the AI labs and data programs we work with. You get a clear side-by-side comparison. Labs never see raw data at this stage.
You decide, then get paid
You pick the offer, the scope and the terms in a written agreement with the lab. We handle the back-and-forth. Data is de-identified before any training use.

possible license value for a made-up company's records (heavy volume)
Base ranges come from published buyer program pages; multipliers are our own simple assumptions. Real offers depend on what's in the data and buyer demand at the time.

Most deals are a license: the lab gets the right to use a de-identified copy of agreed records for training, under contract terms. You keep your records, your brand and your future data. Exclusive and non-exclusive terms are possible, and they price differently.
Who pays FileFunding
Not you. It's free for the company with the data: no fees and no cut of your proceeds. FileFunding is paid by the AI labs and data companies we work with directly, and we do the inventory, redaction and packaging work, ourselves or with the buyer using their methodology. We don't buy or resell data, so we have no reason to hold your price down.
Questions about the process
What does FileFunding cost?
Nothing. FileFunding is free for the company with the data: no fees, nothing up front and no cut taken from what you're paid. We're paid by the AI labs and data companies we work with directly. We also do the work (inventory, redaction and packaging), ourselves or together with the buyer using their methodology or accepted best-practice redaction.
Do we lose ownership of our data?
Usually not. Most deals are a license: the buyer gets the right to use a de-identified copy for training under contract terms, and you keep your records. Terms vary by deal, and you see them before you agree.
How long does it take?
The estimate takes about 10 seconds and we reply within 1–2 business days. We aim for first offers in about two weeks after scoping. Some companies won't receive offers, and we'll tell you if that's the case.
Do labs see our raw data?
Not to make an offer. Labs first see a short, anonymized profile of what you have. Data moves only after you sign a written agreement, and it is de-identified before any training use under the method set in that contract.
