Short answer
FileFunding is a broker for business data licensing. We help companies, founders, trustees and assignees find out what their historical email, chat, tickets, docs and code could be worth to AI labs, price and configure it, and compare offers. We never buy or resell data. It's free for the company with the data: we're paid by the AI labs and data companies we work with directly.
What we do
- Give data owners a free, indicative estimate from public information
- Scope what's included and what's excluded, and check who can sign
- Take an anonymized profile to the AI labs and data programs we work with
- Give the owner a clear side-by-side comparison of offers and handle the back-and-forth
- Bring labs vetted, ready-to-sell data owners with documented provenance
What we don't do
- Buy, hold or resell data
- Share anything without the owner's written approval
- Include HR, medical, payment or consumer data by default
- Charge anything up front
How we're paid
By the AI labs and data companies we work with directly, not by data owners. Sellers pay nothing and we take no cut of their proceeds. We don't publish what buyers pay us.
