AI labs pay for records that show how real work gets done. Here's what's usually in a deal, what's always out, and what makes a company a good fit.

**Short answer:** Multi-year email, team chat, support tickets, docs and SOPs, CRM activity and code history from companies with real operations usually qualify. HR files, medical records, payment card or bank data, consumer databases and anything under a client NDA are excluded by default. Mostly medical, financial or consumer data needs special review.

## Data types buyers look for

### Email archives
Gmail, Outlook / Microsoft 365

Multi-year threads with customers, vendors and teammates: quotes, scheduling, negotiation, escalation.

### Team chat
Slack, Microsoft Teams

Channels and threads where decisions and handoffs happen, from the workspace owner's native export.

### Support tickets
Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Jira Service Management

Problem-to-resolution histories, escalations, macros and internal notes.

### Docs, wikis and SOPs
Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion

Procedures, checklists, specs, runbooks and the drafts behind them.

### CRM and sales records
Salesforce, HubSpot

Pipelines, quotes, activity logs and notes, with contact details removed.

### Code history
GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket

Repositories with commits, pull requests, reviews and issues. Secrets stripped, third-party code flagged.

### Calls and screen recordings
Gong, Zoom, Loom

Only where consent and notice can be confirmed.

## What makes a good fit

- Multiple years of records
- Usually 20+ employees at some point (smaller teams can still fit, especially for code)
- Real work in email, team chat, tickets, docs, CRM or code
- Records that still exist: accounts still open, or exports saved
- Someone with clear authority to sign: an officer, trustee or assignee

Good fits include agencies, managed service providers, e-commerce companies and other workflow- or CRM-heavy businesses. Restaurants and retail usually aren't a fit.

## What's never part of it

- HR files, medical records and personnel reviews
- Customer payment card or bank details
- Consumer databases and customer lists
- Anything under a client NDA, or data you licensed from someone else
- Your brand, your ownership, your future data

If it isn't a fit, we'll tell you quickly rather than string you along.

## Questions about what qualifies

**Q: What kinds of company data do AI labs pay for?**
Records of real work: multi-year email, team chat, support tickets, docs and SOPs, CRM activity, code history and, where consent can be confirmed, call and screen recordings. HR files, medical records, payment card data and consumer databases are left out by default.

**Q: Is my business a fit?**
We usually look for multiple years of records, 20+ employees at some point (smaller teams can still fit, especially for code), real work in email, chat, tickets, docs, CRM or code, records that still exist, and someone with authority to sign. Agencies, managed service providers, e-commerce and other workflow- or CRM-heavy businesses tend to fit. Mostly medical, financial or consumer data needs special review, and restaurants and retail usually aren't a fit.

**Q: Can a small company qualify?**
Sometimes. We usually look for 20+ employees at some point, but smaller teams can still fit, especially for code repositories with long histories.

**Q: What happens to personal information in the records?**
Names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and IDs are removed or replaced with role labels such as [Customer] before any training use. HR, medical and payment data and consumer databases are excluded by default. The exact method is set in each contract.
